Decades of hands-on experience have taught us about the undeniably strong affect a physical environment has on the quality of work performed in that environment. In order to create functional, stimulating learning facilities, we combine our knowledge of interior design, technology and education. With over 75 years experience, we design and develop ergonomically sound, educationally strong environments which focus on both teacher and student well-being. Smart, supportive, attractive solutions enable everyone to grow and reach their full potential.
There are endless ways to learn, and countless teaching methods. To allow for these differences, we create a variety of teaching environments. We consider both teachers and students as the individuals they are, and then install furniture that is both ergonomic and sound-considerate. Educational spaces should adapt to different personalities, not the other way round.
Contemporary corridors are so much more than simple walkways. Serving as meeting grounds of school communication and logistics, functional furnishings can build the foundation for great schooldays. Robust, durable lockers withstand constant usage, while clever design features make it a breeze to organise books, pens and paper.
Our goal is to combine the best of two worlds by providing a place for books and other printed material right next to the computer terminals. In addition, spaces for conversation and reflection are essential, as well as placing staff within close reach. Each of these individual features creates a well-rounded learning environment.
Above and beyond a place to shelve books, the library is the heart and soul of a school. We are experts in transforming this space into a zone for in-depth learning and reflection. Intuitively ergonomical solutions support individual study time, as well as enabling relaxed collaboration and group activities.
A room for recuperation and reflection is enormously important for the school's staff. Each and every minute here provides a precious chance to recharge and revive. By providing a genuinely designed space with comfortable seating, a few moments can go a long way.
Preparing lessons, correcting tests or chatting with students - a teacher's office is in high demand during a school day. Granting the design of this space as much care and attention as the classroom paves the way to a flexible, efficient solution with a wide array of benefits.
A good classroom environment is a prerequisite for pupils of all ages to feel good and be able to achieve good results in terms of knowledge. However, unfortunately reality looks different and many children and young people are forced to spend their time in environments that are simply not suitable for teaching.
As a large supplier of equipment for schools and with a major interest in how the school environment affects pupils, we want to highlight the problem in a new way. In order to get more people to listen to schools and their needs, we enlisted the help of the award winning music producer Pablo Paz to create a song from the authentic sound of a classroom.
The third report in the series that identifies and analyses key changes in the world around us for different types of work, meeting, learning and training environments. This time the focus is on what these changes will mean for learning environments in the Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
