This is the second part of a project where Kinnarps has worked together with Elgiganten to develop their working environment. Read about the first part here
When Elgiganten Logistics expanded its central warehouse in Jönköping with a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility south of the city, Kinnarps was tasked with creating a functional and inspiring working environment. The company had already used Kinnarps' Next Office® workplace analysis during the redesign of their headquarters to map workflows and needs. This analysis also laid the foundation for space planning and the interior design of the new warehouse, ensuring a well-adapted and efficient working environment with future demands in mind.

The Longo sofa, Fields pouffe and Neo Lite chair form a welcoming lounge area in the entrance, inviting visitors and employees to sit down for a short meeting, a chat or a moment of rest. The interior here reflects the company’s culture and brand from the very first impression.

The Plus task chair and height-adjustable Serie P desk encourage varied working positions and reduce static strain. The Vibe screen improves focus by absorbing sound and limiting visual distractions.

The Soft Top chair, Oberon table and Grow plant storage create a pleasant atmosphere in one of the office’s meeting areas. Draw curtains enhance the acoustic environment while also providing privacy for more confidential meetings.

The office features several spaces that encourage collaboration. The Monolite High sofa and Matsumoto table form a relaxed meeting spot where colleagues can gather for a spontaneous chat or a cup of coffee.
The new warehouse, which increases Elgiganten Logistik’s total floor space in Jönköping to 200,000 square metres, has been furnished with a focus on ergonomics, flexibility and a working environment that supports the needs of the employees. Kinnarps delivered customised interior design solutions that enhance productivity, collaboration and well-being for the 600 employees, with room for future growth.
Thanks to Kinnarps' experience and strategic interior concept, Elgiganten Logistik now enjoys a sustainable and future-proof working environment that supports the continued development of its logistics operations. The collaboration highlights the importance of well-considered solutions for creating an effective and attractive workplace.

“With Kinnarps' professionalism, creativity and commitment, we received a solution that our employees truly appreciate.”

Window-facing seating is a simple way to invite nature into the workspace. Employees can enjoy their lunch while taking in the greenery and natural light – something that helps reduce stress and improve sleep quality.

The carefully curated colour palette gives the office a timeless yet varied expression. At the same time, it creates a cohesive visual impression, making it easy to move furniture between zones without disrupting the overall aesthetic. This provides long-term flexibility and supports change.

Biophilic design elements are a consistent theme in the office. Plants, natural materials and soft, organic shapes come together to create a harmonious setting. In the lounge, this is reinforced through the Trix sofa, Oberon table, Neo Lite Soft armchair and Fields pouffe – furnishings that together contribute to a calm and inviting atmosphere.
At Elgiganten Logistics’ central warehouse, the transition between warehouse and office is seamless – both physically and organisationally. In the office, staff from all parts of the organisation meet and collaborate, reinforcing the sense of unity.

Green accents and organic shapes form a peaceful corner in the office – an example of biophilic design that brings nature closer to the workplace. Oas armchair and Matsumoto table.

Soft, tactile materials create a warm and welcoming feeling – while also contributing to both comfort and concentration. The height-adjustable Leia chair with a cross base is easy to move thanks to its castors.
